Foundational Stage-Homework Policy

At the Foundational Stage, our homework policy reflects the vision of the National Education Policy 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework for Foundational Stage 2022, emphasizing joyful, stress-free, and meaningful learning.

Homework is given only for reinforcement of concepts taught in class. It aims to strengthen understanding, build confidence, and promote independent thinking. No new topics will be introduced through homework.

Tasks will be developmentally appropriate, short, and engaging, including:

  • Written reinforcement worksheets
  • Online quizzes or interactive activities
  • Observation-based or hands-on tasks

These formats ensure learning is multi-sensory and fun, promoting curiosity and conceptual clarity, as recommended by NCF-FS.

Homework is designed to be completed with minimal parental support, helping children develop a sense of independence. Parents are encouraged to provide a calm and positive environment to support their child’s routine and motivation.

By focusing on revision and reinforcement, our homework approach supports the NEP’s goal of reducing academic pressure while ensuring strong foundational skills. We aim to make homework a positive and enriching experience that complements classroom learning in a playful and meaningful way.
